The wonderful Chateau du Lude is open throughout the year. It is probably the best chateau in the Region. You can explore the chateau that is the home to the Count and Countess or walk through the beautiful gardens on the banks of the Loir river.
40 mins drive from 5 Grande Rue is the excellent museum for the Le Mans circuit. Here you can see some of the cars that have raced the Le Mans 24H. The display cars cover the last 100 years of the race.
During the summer months canoes and paddle boards are available to rent from the Campsite in Le Lude. Paddling the river is a lovely way to explore the areas not often visited. 2 -3 km in either direction are old mills.

The town of Baugé is about 20 mins from the house. In the town there is an interesting apothecary museum that supported the Hotel Dieu. In addition, the town has a chateau - King Rene's Palace. Both locations have guides and multimedia experiences.

There are many cycling and walking routes in the region, both on cycle paths and quiet roads. Many of our guests stop here for a night on a multi-day tour of the region.

Château du Petit Thouars is our partner vineyard and supplies our house red and rosé wines. Sébastion and D'Arcy offer vineyard and cellar tours, a picnic in the vineyards and chateau visits at their beautiful home near Chinon.
